|Origin:||Rhône Valley, France|
|Wine Style:||Off-Dry White, Medium to Full-Bodied|
Rating: Wine Advocate 90
Leading off the Viognier/Condrieu releases, the 2015 Viognier de Rosine comes from a higher elevation site in a cool terroir located just off the southern/western end of Côte Rôtie. Clean, fresh and elegant, with beautiful white peach, crisp tangerine and sappy flower characteristics, drink this medium-bodied, lively, impeccably made white over the coming couple of years.
Over the last decade or so, Stephane Ogier has raised the bar in just about every way possible for his estate in Côte Rôtie: purchasing new vineyards, replanting existing sites, working hard to develop an AOC for Seyssuel and building a completely new cellar—all the while continuing to produce a bevy of brilliant wines. Today, the estate is unquestionably in the top handful of domaines in the Rhône Valley.
